When you create a form, you can map field inputs to standard Slate fields, like Preferred Name.

1. In the form, select Edit Form.

2. From the palette, select Text Box.

3. Configure the following settings:

   • Status: Set field to Active.

   • Type: Select the appropriate format type of question.

   • Label: This text will display as the instruction for the question. 

   • System Field: Select a field type from the list. The options available depend on the form’s scope. A list of fields appears; select a field from this list.

   • Export Key: Populates based on the system field selected.

   • Size: Change the size to 32 so this field will match the other field widths. 

   • Options: Leave blank

4. Select Save.

When a form registrant enters a value in this field, it is mapped to the system field you specified.
