# AI Form Scanner

## Uploading an image as a form submission

1. Go to a form.
2. Select **New Registration.**
3. Select the **Scan** **icon.** Your system file explorer appears.
4. Upload an image with text. Slate AI works to process the text and fill in applicable form fields.

## Using your camera to submit a form

1. In the [Slate Mobile app](/v1/docs/slate-mobile), go to a form.
2. Select **New Registration.**
3. Select the **Scan icon.** Your phone’s camera app opens.
4. Take a well-lit photo of text that matches the information requested in your form’s fields. Slate AI works to process the text and fill in applicable form fields.

> 💡 AI Form Scanner can populate text, checkbox, and radio button fields when it recognizes corresponding information in the scanned image.
