Cloning Applications

📚 Part of the series Application Building Phase II: The Slate-hosted Application
Some processes call for cloning a submitted application for deferral processes or applying for multiple programs via one application. The institution needs to create separate application records in the database. Cloned applications will be related to the original application.
Only submitted applications can be cloned.
Cloning applications with this process can only be done individually on the record.
Cloned application will not include:
Video Essays from the primary application
Digital Portfolio
Steps to Cloning an Application
Go to Records and search for the record with the application you want to clone.
Open the Applications tab and select the application.
In the right-hand navigation, click Edit Application Details.
Select Clone.
Note: If you do not see the ‘Clone’ button, check to make sure the application is submitted.
From the Round list, select the round for the new application.
Choose which application-scoped material types and payment information should be copied to the new application.
Example: Letter of Recommendation, Resume, and High School Transcript.
*Copy Materials and Waive Application Fee are selected by default.
