# Controlling Access to Forms / Events / Scheduler using Realms

When creating or editing a [form](/v1/docs/creating-a-form), [event](/v1/docs/events-overview), or [Scheduler session](/v1/docs/scheduler), select a [realm](/v1/docs/realms) to restrict access to only users with access to that realm.

> [!NOTE]
> 💡 Tip
>
> Add Realms to a form, event, or scheduler template for all forms, events, or sessions using that template to inherit the Realm.

> [!WARNING]
> 😵‍💫 Don’t see realms as an option?
>
> If your database doesn’t have any configured realms, they’ll be completely hidden from the user interface. [Create your first realm](/v1/docs/realms#create-realms) to see them in User Permissions and database objects.
