A Person Record is where an individual's data is stored and displayed. This includes their status, biographical and contact information, a timeline of interactions, application materials, academic, scores, interests, and much more.
Creating your very own test record will allow you to explore the Slate environment and visualize how data displays as people interact with your instance.
Create a Test Record
Click Lookup in the top navigation bar.
Click New Person.
Enter the following User configurations:
First Name
Last Name
Birthdate
Provide the constituent test record information.
✨ TipIt can be helpful to include the word "test" in either the first or last name values. This helps other administrators easily identify the record as a test record in the omni-search, and other database areas.
Click Create.
Email - Use an email that is accessible to you.
Naming conventions - It is a good practice to append the word TEST to the first and last name so this record is easily identified as a test record.
Birthdate - A birthdate must be in the past, unborn records cannot exist in Slate.

Once created, you will be redirected to the new person record:
⭐ Best PracticeIt is also best practice to click the tag "Test Record". This data point will be very valuable in future testing of things such as querying, communications, and more.
