CyberSource

Prev Next

Slate has historically supported CyberSource payment integrations, such as CyberSource HOP and Secure Acceptance. Both are now legacy integrations, and Slate does not support new setups for these versions. CyberSource has recently announced retiring or deprecating Secure Acceptance in September 2026.

CyberSource Unified Checkout is the new approved approach to be able to use Cybersource as an external payment processor.

None of these integrations are available for self-service setup through the Application Editor. Contact Support to initially create or update the custom payment files and provider configurations.

CyberSource Unified Checkout

CyberSource Unified Checkout is separate and distinct from the old Secure Acceptance. Slate now supports Unified Checkout for payment due activities scoped to a person or an application.

The custom configuration includes:

  • a CyberSource merchant ID,

  • HTTPS endpoint,

  • key ID,

  • shared secret, and

  • environment variable.

Contact Support and include the required values listed above in the ticket request. Do not add these credentials to a portal or form.

Troubleshooting notes

  • The capture-context request can fail when the endpoint is not HTTPS or when the merchant ID, key ID, or shared secret is missing or incorrect.

  • CyberSource can also reject payment requests when the Slate host name does not meet its requirements, including non-HTTPS environments or host names containing underscores.
