Article summary

Slate delivers an out of the box applicant status page that allows an applicant to view updates to their application, checklists, payment details, and copies of their application, among other items. While the Slate-delivered status page does not require any customization, minor edits can be made using the Application Editor.

When to use a custom status page

A custom status page must be used when looking to:

  • Display program content

  • Display scores

  • Display social Media feeds. (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)

  • Reorder, remove, and conditionally display sections

  • Display population dependent content

  • Modify column formats

  • Present (read only) student record data. (Examples: Test Scores, University ID, etc.)

We encourage you to explore using a custom status portal, and take advantage of the functionality above.
