This article is primarily related to the Flywire product that was originally known as Peer Transfer, which processes student payments in local currencies for many currencies around the globe. Many US institutions send their domestic applicants to the built-in ‘Slate Payments’, or one of the other available payment gateways, but send international applicants through this particular Flywire product to reduce the potential transaction fees that their applicants pay.
The standard integration can be set up in a self-service manner, as described below. The custom integration (i.e. if any custom fields need to be passed to Flywire) is not available for self-service setup via the Application Editor. We will be making all adjustments to custom payment files via a support ticket thread.
To implement the standard out-of-the-box version of this Flywire product integration:
Click the Database on the Slate navigation bar, then select Application Editor in the Applications area.
Locate and select one of the Part IDs related to the Payment Page.

Locate the Payment Provider list and select Flywire. The configuration popup updates with fields specific to Flywire.

Follow the instructions on the popup to complete the configuration.
Flywire offers the ability to select the point in the process for the payment to be “marked as paid” in Slate. For example, you may not want to mark it as paid until the Flywire transaction is "Delivered" (i.e. you have the money), or you may want to mark it as paid once the status is "Guaranteed" (i.e. Flywire has collected the money and you will get it within 1-2 business days).
The custom version of this integration (i.e. if any custom fields need to be passed to Flywire) is not available for self-service setup via the Application Editor. We will be making all adjustments to custom payment files via a support ticket thread.
Before you open a Support ticket, please collect the following information:
Provider ID
Destination ID
Status to mark-as-paid
URL (standard/default is https://api.peertransfer.com/v1/transfers.json )
If you are using another Flywire product (Checkout), please reach out to us via Support ticket. That integration is not available for regular setup. We will be evaluating the request before making any adjustments.
