# GMAC Common Letter of Recommendation

The GMAC Letter of Recommendation (GMAC LoR) was designed for business schools who are members of Graduate Management Admission Council. If you are using Slate’s reference module, you can recreate the GMAC Letter of Recommendation as a reference page-scoped form to collect the same data.

#### Try a Slate example 💼

Copy this [Suitcase](/docs/suitcase-import) ID and paste it in **Database → Suitcase Import**to import a pre-made example of the GMAC Letter of Recommendation form *and* the GMAC-specific reference-scoped fields used on the form.

Once the form has been added, activated, and all form fields have been opened and re-saved, use the Application Editor to associate the Form with the reference settings:

1. Go to **Database** → **Application Editor**.
2. Select the appropriate `/apply/`**directory.
3. Select the **ref Part ID**.
4. Select **General Settings**.
5. Select the 2017 GMAC LoR from the **Reference Page Form**list.
