📝 Note: Technolutions no longer provides direct fax support for Slate
As of December 17, 2021, the third-party fax service that powered direct faxing in Slate shut down, so Technolutions has ended direct fax support. The steps below describe an alternate inbound faxing solution.
To receive faxes in Slate, configure a new fax number with a fax-to-email service such as RingCentral, then set up an Inbox group for faxing. Incoming faxes arrive in Batch Acquire by email, ready for assignment to records.

Configuring an Inbox Group for faxing
Go to Database → Inbox Groups.
Select New Group.
Set the new inbox group’s Type to Scan to Batch Acquire.
Give the new inbox a descriptive Name, like Inbound Fax.
Select Save.
All messages received via the inbox group email address will appear in Batch Acquire for assignment to a record.
