Integrated Configuration Tools

Open related setup tools from the Slate area where you are already working.

Integrated Configuration Tools add configuration entry points to supported Slate tools. When a tool includes an integrated configuration page, use the configuration icon to open related setup links without starting from the full Database page.

Opening configuration from a tool

1. Go to a Slate tool that includes an integrated configuration page.

2. Select the configuration icon in the tool menu.

3. Select the configuration link that matches the setting you want to review or update.

4. Configure the related setting.

5. Use the sidebar links to move between related configuration tools.

6. Select Exit Configuration to return to the tool area where you started.

Using area-specific configuration pages

An integrated configuration page groups setup tools that support the current Slate area. For example, the Deliver configuration page can include links for delivery services, email authentication, asset library, Content Blocks, Slate Credits, and deliverability lookup.

When you open one of those links, the configuration page keeps the same configuration context. Use the sidebar to move to another related setup tool, or select Exit Configuration to return to the original area.

📝 Note

The Database page, Quick Launch, and search remain available for configuration tools that are not exposed from the area where you are working.

Managing configuration mini-tools

Some settings now appear as focused configuration pages instead of prompt or XML-based settings. These mini-tools use standard fields, lists, and dropdown menus for values that administrators manage directly.

For example, Gift configuration can include dedicated pages for Gift Types and Gift Statuses. Use those pages to manage values such as status, type, export value, ordering, and write-off behavior.

1. Open the integrated configuration page for the relevant Slate area.

2. Select the mini-tool you want to manage, such as Gift Types or Gift Statuses.

3. Select Insert to add a value, or select Edit for an existing value.

4. Configure the available fields.

5. Select Save.
