When reviewing an record in the Reader, you can open either the entire Reader Tab Group (all tabs in the left-side navigation) or just the currently selected Reader Tab in a new browser tab.
This makes it easy to view multiple components of an record at the same time — ideal for split-screen comparisons or reviewing materials side-by-side.
To pop out a Reader Tab Group or a single Reader Tab:
Select Reader from the top navigation bar.
Open the desired application.
Click the three-bar menu in the upper-right corner of the Reader.
Choose one of the following options:
Pop Record – Opens the entire Reader Tab Group in a new browser tab.
Pop Tab – Opens only the currently viewed Reader Tab in a new browser tab.
Share – Opens the Share tab to begin a Share session.
Exit Reader – Returns to the Slate database homepage.
You can also locate specific records using the Quick Search box to the left of the menu.
✨ TipTo view parts of the application side by side, drag the new tab into a new browser window.
Mac - For Macs, hold down the Full Screen button and as the window shrinks, drag it to the left or right side of the screen.
Windows - For Windows, hold down the Windows button and press the left or right arrow key.
