# Reader Popup Dashboards (legacy)

Reader Dashboard queries can be created via the Query Builder, and can be configured to view read-only data in the dropdown panel when reading an application.

## Creating the Query

1. Click **Queries / Reports** in the top navigation bar.
2. Click **New Query**.
3. Enter the following configurations in the popup window:
  - **Name**- Name the query Reader Dashboard.
  - **Sharing** - Select 'Share query with other users with the query and query base permissions.'
  - **Folder**- Select System.
  - **Base**- Select the Applications population.
  - **System Key** - Select 'Dashboard Reader.'
4. Select exports for the data to be displayed.
  - Double-click on each export, and give it a computer-friendly name (i.e. no spaces, lower case)

## Configuring the Dashboard

1. Follow the breadcrumbs within the query just created, and click **Edit Dashboard**.

2. Using the WYSIWYG editor, configure the dashboard as desired. Type in the computer-friendly names of the exports as merge fields, using curly braces.

3. Click **Save**.
