SFTP Logging adds a detailed activity record for SFTP interactions in Slate. The log captures successful and failed logins, file reads, file writes, directory changes, deletions, and other SFTP activity.
Access SFTP logging in Database → SFTP Log.
Each logged event provides visibility into what happened, who performed the action, and when the activity occurred. This gives administrators a clearer audit trail for SFTP access and file activity, including both routine transfers and failed access attempts.
Logged activity
SFTP Logging records activity across common SFTP actions, including:
Successful logins
Failed login attempts
File reads
File writes
Directory changes
File deletions
Related SFTP activity
Visibility and auditing
SFTP activity often supports important integrations, imports, exports, and file exchanges. With SFTP Logging, administrators can review SFTP activity directly instead of relying only on external troubleshooting, partner reports, or indirect evidence from downstream processes.
The log gives Slate users a clearer view of the full SFTP activity history: what changed, who accessed the SFTP location, and when each event occurred.
