# Signature Form Field Widget

The **Signature**[form field widget](/v1/docs/form-palette) lets registrants provide a cryptographically-secured electronic signature on a form.

## Adding the Signature widget to a form

To use the Signature widget:

1. Go to **Forms.**
2. Select an existing form, or [create a new one](/v1/docs/creating-a-form).
3. Select **Edit Form.**
4. Select the **Signature widget** from the palette.
5. Configure the form field’s settings as needed, like its label, whether it is required for submission, or whether it should be affected by [conditional logic](/v1/docs/form-conditional-logic).
6. Select **Save.**

## Registrant experience

When the form registrant selects the signature field, an **Input Signature**popup appears. Here, they can select from one of six signature styles. They’re prompted to enter their name, then select **Sign.**

## Collected signatures

When a registrant submits a form with a signature widget, you can find their signature—complete with date, time, and browser metadata—saved as part of their response.
