Slate AI Dictate adds speech-to-text input to Slate AI conversations. Dictation can help users enter longer prompts more quickly, especially on mobile devices or when typing is inconvenient.

Dictate a prompt

  1. Open a Slate AI conversation, or start a new one.

  2. Select the dictate icon 🎙️ in the prompt input.

  3. If prompted, allow microphone access.

  4. Speak your prompt while the recording indicator is active.

  5. Select the checkmark to transcribe the prompt, or select X to cancel.

  6. Review and edit the transcribed prompt.

  7. Submit the prompt to Slate AI.

Dictate a prompt asking Slate AI to draft a follow-up message after meeting a prospective student at a fair.

Dictate a prompt asking Slate AI to summarize next steps after reviewing a student record on a phone.

Dictate a prompt asking Slate AI to draft a stewardship note after a donor meeting.
