Donor solicitation controls and communication preferences can be managed as custom fields within Slate. As a multi-value field that leverages a prompt list, solicitation filters can be applied to any query or recipient list within Slate in order to filter out individuals who should not be solicited in a particular method.
In terms of emailed communication, Message Groups can be created within Slate - allowing for donors to opt-out of selected buckets of communication. Donors also have the ability to opt-out from all marketing communication from an institution. Transactional messages (such as confirmation emails) will be sent regardless of a record's opt-out status.
