In addition to custom Application Headers and custom tab names, adding color to tabs can assist with easily identifying information on a person or dataset record.
Custom Person/Dataset Tabs
Select Database on the top navigation bar.
Select Tabs.
Select a tab and type in the appropriate color (word or hex code).
Click Save
Test.
Only person and dataset scoped tabs have the color option.
Application Tabs (Application Header Color Rule)

Select Database on the top navigation bar.
Select Rules.
Select Base: Configurable Joins - Application
Select the Application Header Color type.
Select the box next to Color. The desired color can be selected from the color-picker or entered using the hex color value.
Click Save.
Test
What if the record has many tabs?
The tabs will retain the color in the overflow section, accessible via the + symbol.
