# Tab Colors

You can add color to the tabs on the [person](/v1/docs/getting-started-with-records) or [dataset record](/v1/docs/datasets-overview).

To add color to a person or dataset record tab:

1. Go to **Database** → **Tabs**.
2. Select a tab and type in the appropriate color (word or hex code). 3. Select **Save**.

The color appears on the tab:
