# The Campaigns Dataset

A fundraising **campaign**represents a broad fundraising initiative or goal. In Slate, Campaign records are stored in the **Campaigns dataset**.

Similar to other [datasets](/v1/docs/datasets-overview), Campaigns can have their own dashboards, tabs, and custom fields tailored to your organization's needs. This structure allows for comprehensive tracking and reporting on the progress of each fundraising initiative.
