The Database page is the starting point for Slate administrators. It’s where you create, manage, and maintain many of the features and processes in Slate. Administrators access the Database page frequently while building their business processes.
When you select Database from the main navigation, you’ll find several features:
Search Database: Enter the name of a Slate tool. The page updates dynamically to show matching tools and features.
Pinned: Pin frequently used tools for easy access.
Tool Categories: Slate tools are organized by their functional area.
Tools: Tool names are listed under each category. Select a tool or feature link to access that resource.
The order of categories
The Database page is ordered by category, not in order of importance to a successful implementation. By contrast, the Slate Roadmap (for Admissions, Student Success, and Advancement) is ordered to best implement Slate.
Explore the Database page in the order presented in the Roadmap to achieve a foundational understanding before working with the more powerful Slate tools.
