# Tracking Off-Line Print Mailings for Advancement

Slate is able to keep track of mailings sent to records in a database through the use of *interactions* on a person's record.

Often, a query will be run to export a list of names to Excel before being sent on to an external print house. At the time the query is run, an additional output of the query could leverage the *Batch Management* functionality in order to apply an interaction - such as "Print Mailing > Magazine" - to all of the records that are a part of the query.
