Universal Maximized Modals

Universal maximized modals give administrative windows more workspace when a task needs additional room.

Administrative modals can now be maximized throughout Slate. When a modal includes dense configuration, long lists, large editing areas, or side-by-side information, maximizing the modal expands the workspace so users can complete the task with fewer scrolls and less visual crowding.

The maximize control appears in administrative modals that support the standard modal header. After a modal is closed and reopened, it returns to its normal size. If the user navigates through a series of records or items using previous and next controls inside the modal, Slate keeps the maximized view for that navigation session.

Maximize a modal

1. Open an administrative modal in Slate.

2. Select the maximize control in the modal header.

3. Complete the task in the expanded modal.

4. Close the modal when finished.

Navigate while maximized

When a modal includes previous and next controls, select the maximize control before moving through the series. Slate keeps the modal maximized as you move between items in that session, which is useful for repeated review or editing work.
