Slate AI Advanced Analysis lets you add files to a Slate AI conversation so Slate AI can summarize, interpret, and transform the file content. Use it when the context for your question lives in a spreadsheet, document, presentation, screenshot, or query output.
You might use Slate AI Advanced Analysis to:
Upload an admitted student spreadsheet and ask Slate AI to identify deposit trends, high-priority populations, and talking points for an enrollment update deck.
Upload an advising caseload file and ask Slate AI to summarize outreach priorities, common risk indicators, and next steps for a retention meeting.
Upload a portfolio or proposal report and ask Slate AI to summarize upcoming asks, segment the opportunities, and draft a presentation for gift officers.
Analyzing uploaded files
Open a Slate AI conversation.
Select the Add Files icon.
Choose one or more files to add to the conversation.
Enter a prompt that explains what you want Slate AI to analyze or create.
Review the response after Slate AI processes the files.
Ask follow-up questions to refine the summary, change the format, or focus on a specific part of the file.
Creating downloadable outputs
After Slate AI returns an analysis, ask Slate AI to create the output you want, such as a PowerPoint presentation.
Review the generated response.
Select the download link when Slate AI finishes creating the file.
Open the downloaded file and review it before sharing it with others.
Analyzing query results
When Slate AI is available in a query, use Advanced Analysis to ask questions about the query output or to turn query results into a report or presentation.
Open the query results you want to analyze.
Open Slate AI.
Ask Slate AI to summarize, compare, chart, or create an output from the query results.
Review the response and continue prompting until the output is ready to use.
