Subtabs let you organize record tabs into parent and child relationships. A parent tab can group related system, custom, or portal-based tabs so users can find related information without a long row of top-level tabs.

Create subtabs
Go to Database → Tabs.
Open the tab that should appear as a child tab, or create a new tab.
In Parent, select the tab that should contain this tab.
Configure the tab's other settings, including order, permissions, and display options.
Select Save.
Open a record to confirm that the child tab appears under the selected parent tab.
Examples
Create an Admissions parent tab and place interviews, decisions, scholarships, or application review tabs beneath it.
Create a Student Support parent tab and place advising notes, alerts, success plans, or appointment history tabs beneath it.
Create an Advancement parent tab and place opportunities, research, committees, or stewardship tabs beneath it.
