Article summary

The Database page is the starting point where Slate administrators can use when creating, managing, and maintaining the many features and processes in Slate. Administrators access the Database page frequently while building their business processes.

To access the Database page, select Database on the Slate navigation bar. The Database page appears and offers several features:

  • Search Database: Click this search field and start entering a Slate tool name. The page updates dynamically to show matching tools and features.

  • Pinned: This provides a place to “pin” regularly used tools for easy access.

  • Tool Categories: Slate tools are organized by their functional area.

  • Tools: Tool names are listed under each category. Select a tool or feature link to access that resource.

🌟 Best Practice

The Slate Roadmap is ordered strategically to ensure success when implementing Slate. The Database page provides the available resources, and each box in the Slate Roadmap introduces the specific Database resources. The best way to learn about a resource is to follow the accompanying documentation and create the items necessary for business processes in a Slate tool. Learning about the Database page in the order presented in the Slate Roadmap helps administrators achieve a foundational understanding before accessing more powerful tools.
