Check logic

The Campaigns tab displays all mailings in the drip marketing campaign, even if the person record does not meet the criteria to receive them. If a record belongs to a particular population for which a drip marketing message has been configured, or if the mailing is configured to send in the future, the mailing will display on the Campaigns tab.

Select Check Logic to confirm whether the record meets the criteria for each mailing in a campaign.

A record might not meet criteria for a mailing if:

  • The record does not meet filter criteria for items that are not population-related

  • The record has received the mailing in a previous run

Anticipated delivery windows

A record will receive a drip marketing campaign mailing if it is a member of the campaign’s population at the time of delivery and meets at least one of the following conditions:

  • The record joined the population on a specified date or within a date range

  • The record has been in the specific population for a defined number of days

If the record is in the population and meets the relevant filter criteria for an upcoming mailing, the mailing appears in the Campaigns tab. Changes to record data before a mailing date can make records ineligible to receive it, even though it appears on their Campaigns tab.

Anticipated delivery windows appear as defined by the mailing’s population and start and end date filters:

Population filters

Mailings that use a population filter are delivered on the next upcoming weekday, during selected delivery windows, as long as the recipient is a member of the specified population at time of sending.

Mailings with this configuration appear on a record’s Campaigns tab even if the record does not meet the criteria to receive the mailing.

Date range filter

Mailings that use the filter Population Timestamp are delivered on the next upcoming selected weekday, during the selected delivery windows, within the specified start and end dates configured on the filter.

The expected delivery window takes into account the filter’s start and end dates, as well as the start and end dates configured on the mailing. A mailing with this configuration appears on the Campaigns tab if the person record is part of the specified population during the start and end dates.

Number of Days Filter

Mailings that use the filter Population Timestamp Days are delivered greater than or equal to the day that the record is in the population for the defined number of days, during the selected delivery window.

Mailings with this configuration appear on the Campagins tab only if the record meets the filter criteria defined by the number of days as a reflection of the start and end dates configuration on the mailing.
