Creating an Inbox AI snippet

  1. Go to Inbox.

  2. Select Snippets.

  3. Select New Snippet, or edit an existing snippet.

  4. Choose Email (AI) or SMS (AI) as the snippet method.

  5. Enter the snippet name and any sharing or folder settings.

  6. Select the knowledge sources that Slate AI may use when generating the snippet.

  7. Enter the AI instructions. Include merge fields when the prompt needs record-specific or message-specific context.

  8. Select Save.

Example prompts

Person giving details

A one-click summary of a donor’s giving details that pulls from a number of gift exports.

In a style fit to be shared with a donor, provide a summary of the person's giving relationship with Slate University.
In addition to summary information, also include a nicely designed table of the current fiscal year's giving with the gift details included.

The current fiscal year is {{System-Current-Date}}
Current fiscal year giving: {{CurrentFYGiving}}
The donor's name is: {{Preferred}}
Lifetime giving: {{LifetimeGiving}}
First Gift Date: {{FirstGiftDate}}
First Gift Amount {{FirstGiftAmount}}
First Gift Fund: {{FirstGiftDesignation}}
Most Recent Gift Date:{{MostRecentGiftDate}}
Most Recent Gift Amount: {{MostRecentGiftAmount}}
Most Recent Gift Fund: {{MostRecentGiftDesignation}}
Full giving history is contained in the givingHistory merge field as a dictionary: {{givingHistory}}

You can use liquid markup to loop through the rows when creating a beautiful table.

The subitems in the dictionary are named fund, amount, date, category, and fiscalYear.

Your path to applying

Give potential applicant’s a personalized roadmap to application that pulls from person-scoped data.

Create a personalized admissions guidance message for a prospective student.
The audience is the student, not admissions staff.
Use the student's name, student type, intended entry term, academic interest, and home state to create a welcoming and encouraging message.
Provide:
- A brief personalized introduction
- A short explanation of what students with similar interests often do when exploring colleges
- Three to five recommended next steps before applying
- Encouragement related to their intended entry term
The recommendations should be relevant to the student's academic interests and stage in the college search process.
Do not mention internal admissions processes, CRM data, funnel stages, or application statuses.
Write in a warm, supportive, student-friendly tone.
Student Name: {{Preferred}}
Student Type: {{StudentType}}
Entry Term: {{EntryTerm}}
Academic Interest: {{AcademicInterest}}
