Article summary

The Unsubscribe Management Page located on the Person Record allows Slate Users to see and manage unsubscribes at a granular level. The Unsubscribe Management Page displays information if the Rank 1 Email Address is unsubscribed from All Communications or from any Message Group. Additionally, information is displayed if the Rank 1 Mobile Phone Number is unsubscribed from communications. See also Opt Out of Specific Communications with Message Groups for more information on configuring Message Groups.

🤔 Not sure what “Rank 1” means?

See Determination of Table Ranks for more details on how devices are calculated.

Clicking on Unsubscribes opens the Edit Unsubscribes pop-up. This pop-up provides additional information and administrative control depending on the type of device.

Email Addresses

From this page, users are able to subscribe or unsubscribe email addresses from All Communications or from communications associated with individual Message Groups. This page allows Slate Users to subscribe or unsubscribe email addresses from any Message Group - active or inactive.

Mobile Phone Numbers

Per Federal regulation, unsubscribing or resubscribing a mobile number must be initiated by the mobile number itself. While the current status is displayed, it is not possible to administratively unsubscribe or resubscribe a mobile number. Additionally, an unsubscribed phone number will be unsubscribed from all communication from all of your numbers within Slate.

How does this impact communications?

When sending a Deliver mailing or SMS, Slate filters out unsubscribes automatically for all marketing communications. Users do not need to add any additional filters to remove unsubscribed devices. For transactional communications, Slate will not filter out unsubscribed devices and all communications will be delivered.
