Article summary

The Unsubscribe Management Page located on the Person Record allows Slate Users to treat unsubscribes at a more granular level; something that the historical Opt-Out Tag was unable to do. (The Opt-Out Tag was introduced when email was the only mode of communication within Slate and there were no Message Groups.)

The Unsubscribe Management Page located on the Person Record allows Slate Users
to treat unsubscribes at a more granular level

The Unsubscribe Management Page displays information if the Rank 1 Email Address is unsubscribed from All Communications or from any Message Group and if the Rank 1 Mobile Phone Number is unsubscribed from communications.

The Unsubscribe Management Page

Email Addresses

From this page, users are able to subscribe or unsubscribe email addresses from All Communications or from communications associated with individual Message Groups. This page allows Slate Users to subscribe or unsubscribe email addresses from any Message Group - active or inactive.

Mobile Phone Numbers

An unsubscribed phone number will be unsubscribed from communication from all of your numbers within Slate whereas email addresses will be unsubscribed either from All Communications or from individual Message Groups.

How does this impact mailings?

When sending a Deliver mailing or SMS, Slate Users do not have to filter out unsubscribes since Slate can handle that automatically. Slate will still treat Transactional mailings in the same manner and allow those to go out as expected when you have selected the No Unsubscribe option.
