Direct SQL Logging adds detailed visibility into direct database access in Slate. The log captures successful and attempted logins, SQL batch statement execution, and remote procedure calls.
Access direct SQL logging in Database → SQL Log.
This logging gives administrators a clearer audit trail for direct SQL activity, including who accessed the database and what actions were attempted or completed.
Logged activity
Direct SQL Logging records activity across key direct SQL interactions, including:
Successful logins
Attempted logins
SQL batch statements
Remote procedure calls
Parameterized SQL statements
Visibility and auditing
Some Slate environments use direct database connections for reporting, integrations, or other programmatic access. Direct SQL Logging gives administrators more insight into that activity by recording direct SQL access alongside the account, action, and timing details needed for review.
With this information, administrators can better understand how data is being accessed through direct SQL connections and identify activity that may require follow-up.
