You can change settings for the standard record tabs in Database → Tabs.

The default record tabs that come with a Slate for Admissions 4-year database
Some tabs, like the application record’s Details or the person record’s More Information, are made using the same custom tab tool that you have access to. System tabs are built into Slate and have different settings. The Type column identifies these tabs as System. Older layouts, including the screenshot above, prefix their names with System -. Select the tab you’d like to customize, or select Insert to create a custom tab.
Standard tab settings
The following settings are available for configuration in standard tabs:
Status
By default, all standard tabs are Active and appear on the person record. Set a standard tab's Status to Inactive to hide its navigation link.
On dataset records, dashboard content can remain visible when the Dashboard tab is inactive. For example, an Organizations record can still show its application statistics and contacts after the Dashboard navigation link is hidden. The dashboard configured in Database → Dashboards has a separate Status. Setting both the tab and the dashboard to Inactive can still leave dashboard content visible on the dataset record. After you change these settings, open a record in that dataset to check the navigation link and the content separately. See Dashboards for dashboard configuration.
Name
The names of standard tabs cannot be modified.
Portal
You can override the standard person Dashboard tab with a portal.
This setting is only available for the person-scoped System - Dashboard tab.
Create an express portal with User security and Person scope.
Select the portal from the Dashboard list.
Select Save.
The person record’s default Dashboard tab is replaced by your portal content.
Read Permission
Select a permission from the list. Only those users with this permission will be able to see the tab.
Notes
Add internal notes regarding the tab. Notes do not appear on the tab itself.
