Slate AI is powered by an OpenAI large language model and follows OpenAI policies. Your data is never stored, pooled with other data, or used for AI training. Only the information needed to complete your request is shared with the model at the moment you ask a question, and no data is retained beyond that interaction.

Accessing Slate AI

To access Slate AI:

  1. On any page, select the Slate AI icon from the dashboard.

  2. In the text box, enter a prompt. Slate AI starts working on an answer.

Based on your prompts, Slate AI can:

Create tasks

Slate AI is fully integrated with Projects & Tasks. Here are just a few things you can do with it:

  • Start a prompt with something like Email Alexander Hamilton... or Remind me to..., and Slate AI will create a task based on your input.

  • Add a deadline, like follow up with an alumni by June 29th or remind me to call Alexander Hamilton next week and Slate AI will add a deadline to the task.

Keep the conversation flowing: Slate AI remembers the overall context of your conversation.

Search the entire Knowledge Base

Ask Slate AI how to:

  • Build an alumni portal

  • Create a ticketing system using workflows

  • How to refund a payment

… and it’ll scour the entire Knowledge Base for an answer.

Slate AI synthesizes results from multiple articles, and will provide links for you to explore additional information related to your prompt.

Gain insights into a record

If you’re on a constituent record, Slate AI knows that this record is the context for your prompts.

On Alexander Hamilton’s page, for example, you can ask Slate AI:

  • What gifts has Alexander made this year?, as well as follow-ups like When did they give the most?

  • Who is Alexander related to?

  • Did Alexander ever take the SAT?

Analyze application materials with Reader AI

Use Reader AI to interpret application materials like essays, transcripts, letters of recommendation and more.
